2003 ERIE RUNNERS CLUB TURKEY TROT

5K WALK-------5K RUN-------10K RUN

Presque Isle State Park, Beach #1
Again this year there will be a competitive 5K walk and 5K run along with the 10K run. Participants in the 10K are advised to arrive early since access to parking is restricted for about 10 minutes at 8:30 due to 5K start.
Premium this year is again a quality hooded sweatshirt or a long sleeve t-shirt. Must be postmarked by 11-17-03 to assure receiving premium. No shirts or sweatshirts available day of race! COST this year is the same as last year, ERC members: $15 w/t-shirt, $20 w/sweatshirt. NON-Members: $17 w/shirt & $22 w/sweat. RACE ONLY: $10 and same after 11-17-03.
Awards in 5K walk and 10K are top 3 overall and top master, then top three in each 5 yr. age group, 12 &under through 80 & over.
CLYDESDALE: NO DAY OF RACE CLYDESDALE!! top 3 male in 180-199, 200-219, 220 & over. Top 3 Female in 140-154, 155-169, 170 & over.
Awards in 5K run: 1st overall then top five 19 & under. First in ten yr. age groups through 80 and over.
Registration: Mail entry and payment (made out to Erie Runners Club) to ERC Turkey Trot, 1903 W. 8th St, PMB 296, Erie, Pa., 16505. You can register online at www.active.com.
Packet Pick-up: Monday 11-24 and Wednesday 11-26 at The Community Blood Bank, 2646 Peach St. from 7pm to 9 pm. No sooner!! The Blood Bank is allowing us their facility after working hours. Please refrain from calling there for info. Any info can be acquired from ERC website or djcomi@adelphia.net or 881-0060.
Post race Party: Lake Shore Firehall from approx. 9:30 am on.
12 and under and 65 and older: Special offer to you! You can pre-register at a discount price of $10 w/shirt $15 w/sweat or $5.00 race only (no shirt).
SPECIAL! SPECIAL! WE WILL AGAIN HAVE TURKEY FEATHERS OUT ON THE COURSE TO BE FOUND AND RETURNED FOR PRIZES. ALSO THIS YEAR WE WILL GIVE $20 DOOR PRIZES TO EVERY 50TH FINISHER. Overall Finishers need not worry about this, we will have something special for them.
You must park in legal areas or risk ticketing. Race will be cancelled if Presque Isle doesn't permit us due to weather. Call 452-1023 the morning of the race for notice of cancellation. No refunds if cancelled.
