PRESQUE ISLE HALF MARATHON
SUNDAY, JULY 18, 2004 7:30 A.M. BEACH #1
PRESQUE ISLE STATE PARK, ERIE, PA

Results for 2004 are available here.

The 26th annual Presque Isle Half Marathon will start promptly at 7:30 a.m. The course covers one complete loop of beautiful Presque Isle State Park, with views of both Lake Erie and Presque Isle Bay. USATF Certification #PA02012WB.
Day-of-race registration will begin at 6:00 a.m. near the Beach #1 bathhouse.
Pre-race packet pickup will be held at Nautilus Fitness & Racquet Club, 2312 West 15th Street on Friday, July 16th, from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday, July 17th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year we again will be timing the race using the ChampionChip. The top five male and female finishers, plus the first male and female masters finishers receive special awards, as do the top three males and females in 5-year age groups from 18 and under to 90 and over. There is also competition in three Clydesdale divisions, where a runner can choose to compete based on body weight instead of age.
The race is noted for its awards which are personalized with the runner's name and finishing time.
The post-race picnic at Waldameer Park is also a big hit with runners and their families as well as the race volunteers and the ERC membership. The all-you-can-eat buffet, consisting of Smith's hot dogs, charbroiled burgers, baked beans, homemade potato and macaroni salads, carrots and celery sticks, potato chips, and ice cream, is served in the Southern #2 picnic grove in the southeast corner of the park.
After the awards ceremony, everyone is invited to make a day of it, with special all-day combo pass rates for the amusement park rides and the waterslides.
