ERC New Year's Day 5- Miler

Cabin #2 Presque Isle State Park, Erie, PA
REGISTRATION: Day-of-race signup and packet pickup for pre-registered runners will begin at 9 am. in Cabin #2 near the Waterworks area at Presque Isle. There are heated restrooms nearby at the Rotary pavilion at Beach #7.
AWARDS: Overall awards to the top male and female and to the first masters (age 40 & over) male and female. Age group awards to the top two male and female finishers in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, then in five-year increments from 20-24 to 80 & over. Racewalkers are welcome, but there will be no separate awards for walkers.
Note: The race will take place as scheduled regardless of the weather, with one exception: the race may be postponed or cancelled altogether if Presque Isle State Park is closed by park authorities for any reason. Since this is always a possibility, you should call the ERC club phone (814-452-1023) the morning of the race if you have any doubt about the race being held. An announcement will be on the answering machine advising on the race status that morning.
RACE PREMIUM: The race premium is a top-quality, long-sleeved T-shirt. Pre-registered entrants are guaranteed a shirt on race day. There will be a limited number of additional shirts on race day but sizes will be limited. Orders will be taken for additional shirts on race day, and mailed when the order comes in. There will be an additional charge to cover postage. Postmark deadline for pre-registration is Friday, December 20, 2002.
